Dennis Austin is senior vice president and former managing principal of the Omaha office of HDR Architecture for HDR, Inc. His current responsibilities include fee and contract negotiation quality control and special projects. He also is a project principal on various projects. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University (1972). He is a Registered Architect (1979), currently registered in Nebraska, Vermont, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, Ohio, and British Columbia, Canada. He is a member of NCARB, AIA, and MAIBC professional organizations.

Prior to becoming managing principal in Omaha, his career was primarily in the managing of healthcare projects throughout the United States. He has also managed several science and technology and community-based projects.
