Doug Alvine

Doug Sturzis is a supervisory consultant at Acentech, an employee-owned acoustical consulting company with headquarters in Cambridge, Mass., with offices in Trevose, Pa., and Thousand Oaks, Calif.  He is a 1974 graduate of the Architectural Engineering program of The Pennsylvania State University and has been consulting in Architectural Acoustics and Mechanical System Noise and Vibration Control ever since.  He has advised on over 1,000 different projects, covering the complete range of building types.  He became a Board Certified Member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering in 1981 and is a member of ASHRAE.  He has co-authored two chapters in the 3rd Edition of the Handbook of Acoustical Measurements and Noise Control with Cyril Harris, editor, and co-authored a new chapter on Building Mechanical System Noise and Vibration Control in the 2nd Edition of Noise and Vibration Control Engineering, edited by Istvan Ver and Leo Beranek.
