Mike Moran

Mike Moran is the director of Operations for the East Region of HDR Architecture. He oversees operations for 18 offices and over 750 staff in the East that range from Denver to London. Moran has been with HDR for 20 years and was previously managing principal of the Dallas, Texas office from 1999 to 2005. Prior to moving to Dallas, Moran was a project manager and team leader in the Omaha office of HDR, where he joined HDR in 1988. Moran is a registered architect in Nebraska, Texas, and North Carolina and a member of the AIA.
Moran's architectural career has primarily been in the healthcare field the past 20 years. He has been involved with acute care healthcare in both urban and rural locations for projects in various locations throughout the United States. Moran has an understanding of the forces that drive the need for capital expenditures for building, renovations, and equipment in the projects that HDR delivers. Moran also sits on the management team for HDR and provides key development programs for the company including project manager training, recruiting, and leadership training.

The firm has more than 150 offices and employs over 6,500 professionals company-wide with 1,200 staff in the architecture company. HDR focuses on healthcare, science & technology, and civic architecture and has consistently been ranked number one by Modern Healthcare magazine for design of medical facilities, and has held a ranking of no less than number four since the rankings began in 1979.
